Studio audience tickets now available

Taskmaster is to return to Channel 4 for another special new year episode.

Details of the contestants taking part have not yet been revealed, but the studio segment of the programme will be filmed later this month.

It would be the third such special to air on Channel 4. While the series draw their line-ups from the comedy world the one-off specials feature names from the wider celebrity sphere.

Those who have taken part in the 2021 and 2022 specials have included Shirley Ballas, Adrian Chiles, Claudia Winkleman and Baroness  Warsi.

This year’s New Year Treat attracted 2.26million viewers, compared to 3.36million the previous year. Both went out on January 1, suggesting it may get the same slot again this year,

Free tickets for the recording at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire on November 22 are available via Standing Room Only.

The current 14th series of Taskmaster, featuring  Dara O Briain, Fern Brady, John Kearns, Munya Chawawa and Sarah Millican,  ends on December 1. It has been averaging more than 2,1million viewers per episode, slightly up on the last series.
