Ramy Youssef and Joel Kim Booster announce London dates
American comics Ramy Youssef and Joel Kim Booster have announced London dates this December.
Youssef is the star and creator of the Hulu show Ramy, inspired by his own experiences as a first-generation Egyptian-American Muslim in New Jersey. The show, currently in its third season, won him a Golden Globe in 2020.
He is also a co-creator and executive producer of Netflix’s new series Mo, a semi-autobiographical series inspired by fellow comedian Mo Amer’s life as a Palestinian refugee growing up in Houston.
Youssef will be playing Leicester Square Theatre on Thursday November 10
Meanwhile, Booster will be at the Soho Theatre from December 13 to 17.
The comic recently starred in and co-wrote the romcom Fire Island, appearing alongside Bowen Yang, while his first hour-long comedy special for Netflix, PsychoSexual, premiered this summer He also stars in the Apple TV+ series Loot as Nicholas.
The Los Angeles-based stand-up was also named one of ‘the queer young comics redefining American humour’ by the New York Times.
