In a lavish - and expensive - box set

All four TV series of Blackadder are to be released on vinyl LP for the first time.

Blackadder’s Historical Record will be released early next year to mark the 40th anniversary of the comedy – but comes with a hefty £180 price tag.

The collection comes on 12 gold coloured 140g vinyl discs that label Demon Records calls ‘opulent’ and includes  an exclusive print signed by Sir Tony Robinson.

The Baldrick actor also provided sleeve notes for a colour illustrated booklet that also detailing cast, transmission and production credits.

On the discs are the soundtracks to all 24 TV episodes featuring Rowan Atkinson, Tim McInnerny, Miranda Richardson, Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie as well as Robinson.
