Darren Harriott joins Dancing On Ice
Darren Harriott is to take part in the new series of Dancing on Ice.
The comedian appeared on Trisha Goddard's show on Talk TV today to break the news, admitting: 'I’ve got giant feet, I don't skate and I can't dance! My family has already made bets - they’re making bets that I’ll fall on the first episode.'
He is the eighth celebrity to be announced, joining actress J Patsy Palmer, football legend John Fashanu, Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson, Coronation Street’s Mollie Gallagher, drag queen The Vivienne and reality star Joey Essex. Three more names are yet to be announced.
Originally from Birmingham, 34-year-old Harriott's previous TV appearances include Celebrity Mastermind, Richard Osman's House of Games and Live at the Apollo,. He was nominated for best newcomer at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe and for best show two years later.
Dancing on Ice returns to ITV and its streaming service ITVX in 2023.
It has been a big week for reality TV news, with Seann Walsh and Babatunde Aleshe both reported to have signed up for I'm A Celebrity... and Zoe Lyons joining Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
