Romesh Ranganathan announces new tour, Hustle
Romesh Ranganathan has announced a short new tour – but you’ll have to wait almost two years to see him.
The comedian has announced ten dates for his new show, to be called Hustle, for 2024.
They include gigs at The O2 in London, the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Utilita Arena in Birmingham and AO arena in Manchester.
The dates are from April to June 2024, but the comic already knows what he’ll be talking about. Blurb for the show says he’ll be asking: ‘Are people inherently good? Is charity always a positive thing? Is hustling the key to success? Or is all this a load of rubbish we've made up to keep people working hard for no reason?’ But it admits he’ll be ‘providing no real answers.’
The show kicks off with two nights at the Brighton Dome on April 26 and 27 and also takes in Dublin, Bournemouth, Aberdeen and Edinburgh.
The announcement comes after Ranganathan wrapped up his last tour, The Cynic’s Mixtape, in his Crawley home town last month. The British Comedy Guide last week reported that it would be released on Netflix – making it his first stand-up special to be streamed on any platform.
His topical focus group comedy The Ranganation will be returning to BBC Two for a fifth series from October 2, with The Last Leg’s Alex Brooker as his first guest
An on Thursday, he will be on two-primetime shows at the same time, hosting A League Of Their Own on Sky Max and appearing with his regular TV collaborator Rob Beckett on ITV's geneology show DNA Journey, both at 9pm.
Some tickets for Hustle go on sale at 10am on Thursday, then on general release 24 hours later.
