Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle to play Liverpool
Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock have announced a Liverpool date for their shared show this autumn.
The pair will play Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena on Thursday September 1 before two shows at London’s O2 Arena on September 3 and 4.
Rock continues to reluctantly be in the headlines over the slap Will Smith gave him at the Oscars.
At the weekend, the Men In Black star issues a six-minute video online apologising for the incident, saying: 'Ive reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he's not ready to talk, and when he is he will reach out. So I will say to you, Chris, I apologise to you.’
But on stage at Atlanta, Rock said he didn’t want to make more of the incident saying: 'If everybody claims to be a victim, then nobody will hear the real victims. Even me getting smacked by Suge Smith. – in reference to Marion ‘Suge’ Knight, co-founder of Death Row Records, who is currently serving 28 years for voluntary manslaughter. ‘I went to work the next day, I got kids.’
Tickets for the new Liverpool date go on sale on Friday at 10am.
