Fourth series for Don’t Hate The Playaz

ITV recommissions hip-hop comedy panel show

ITV2 has commissioned a fourth series of its hip-hop comedy panel show Don’t Hate The Playaz.

The show will return this autumn with Jordan Stephens as host, alongside team captains Maya Jama and Lady Leshurr, with DJ Shortee Blitz dropping the tracks.

Previous guests have included comics such as Mo Gilligan, Katherine Ryan, Munya Chawawa and Judi Love as well as musicians including Dizzee Rascal, ung Filly & Chunkz, Professor Green and The Sugarhill Gang.

Will Macdonald, creative director at programme-makers Monkey, said: ‘Our hip-hop fab four will be welcoming some of the very best music performers and comedians to battle it out for TV’s top money-can’t-buy prize - bragging rights.’

Don’t Hate The Playaz  was commissioned for ITV2 by the broadcaster’s head of digital channels, Paul Mortimer, and commissioning editor Peter Tierney.

The show is being taped in September and free audience tickets are available from Standing Room Only.
