Sky orders a fourth series of Breeders
Sky has renewed Breeders, its family comedy starring Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard, for a fourth series.
The news comes less than a week after the third season launched on Sky Comedy, with all ten episodes also released on Now TV.
Zai Bennett, Sky’s managing director of content, said: ‘This uniquely honest and hilariously entertaining comedy about the pitfalls of parenting really strikes a chord with UK audiences. It’s fabulous news that we can announce Season 4.’
Series three picked up the story of the Worsley family just days after series two ended with teenage Luke (Alex Eastwood) punching his dad Paul (Freeman).
Breeders also airs on American broadcaster FX, where series three launched in May.
Freeman created the show with Veep writer Simon Blackwell, who acts as showrunner, and comic turned writer and director Chris Addison.
The writing team on series three, made by Avalon and US studio FX Productions, also includes Rebecca Callard, Rose Heiney and Taylor Glenn.
