Eshaan Akbar announces first tour

The Pretender hits the road in 2023

Eshaan Akbar has announced his first solo tour, The Pretender, for 2023.

A total of 26 dates have been announced for the show, kicking off at Bristol’s Hen and Chicken on February 23 and concluding at London’s Leicester Square Theatre on April 28.

Akbar released a self-deprecating video announcing the tour and said: ‘Well, I truly can’t wait to drive thousands of miles around the country to play to tens and tens of you. It would be great to see you.’

He has previously performed three shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and supported the likes of Micky Flanagan, Jason Manford and Dane Baptiste on tour. He was the first person of Bangladeshi heritage to appear on Mock the Week and QI and is the host of the BBC Sounds podcast But Where Are You Really From?

Tickets go on sale on Friday.
