2022 line-up also includes Paul Chuckle, Richard Blackwood and Lesley Joseph

Comedian Kae Kurd is to take part in this year’s Celebrity MasterChef alongside the likes of Paul Chuckle, Richard Blackwood and Birds Of A Feather star Lesley Joseph.

BBC One has tonight announced the full line-up of the next series, which will air over six weeks this summer.

Also taking part are former World boxing champion Chris Eubank; TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher;  The Wire’s Clarke Peters; Team GB Paralympian Kadeena Cox; TV presenter and actor Adam Pearson; EastEnders  star Cliff Parisi;  McFly musician Danny Jones; Love Island’s Faye Winter; TV presenter and musician Gareth Malone former pro footballer Jimmy Bullard; professional dancer  Katya Jones;; British drag performer, Kitty Scott-Claus; TV presenter Lisa Snowdon; All Saints singer Mel Blatt; media personality Nancy Dell’Olio; MoJo from the 2003 US reality show Joe Millionaire;  and Coronation Street’s Ryan Thomas.

All will have to impress John Torode and Gregg Wallace over a series of challenges including Under The Cloche, The Street Food Challenge and Dinner Party Dish.

Katie Attwood, MasterChef series editor, said: ‘Celebrity MasterChef is a firm favourite in the television must-see calendar and this series is as funny, engaging and nail-biting as ever. John and Gregg are in for a treat, as are our viewers.'

Sarah Clay, commissioning editor for the BBC, added: ‘This line-up will absolutely cement Celebrity MasterChef as one of the nation's most loved cookery programmes, with a lot of laughter alongside fierce competition guaranteed.

‘The level of cooking is fantastic this year and you can really see how much it means to them all.’

As well as his work on the live circuit, Kurd’s previous TV credits included  Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week and Comedy Central panel show Complaints Department.
