Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont pilot new panel show

Based on celebrity relationships

Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont are piloting a new panel show based on relationships.

The married comics will invite other celebrity couples on to the show to find out what makes them tick.

They already explore their marriage in the fictionalised Dave show Meet The Richardsons, but it is not yet known which, if any, broadcaster is attached to the new project.

Producers say: ‘In this new show comedians Jon and Lucy will invite celebrity couples into their studio to find out everything they can about the inner workings of their guests’ relationships, with the goal of finding the "perfect" celebrity couple.

‘Our completely unqualified hosts will be finding out all their guests’ bad home habits, setting fun challenges and sending our couples off to their "couples retreat", where rest and relaxation certainly won’t be on the agenda.

‘Will Jon and Lucy be able to agree on the winners? Or will they be able to agree on anything at all?’

The couple also previously presented Jon & Lucy's Christmas Sleepover for Channel 4 last year, described as a ‘festive knees-up for their comedy pals Roisin Conaty, Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett’.

A pilot of the new  show, provisionally titled just The Jon and Lucy Panel Show, is being recorded at MediaCity UK in Salford on May 13 in front of a live studio audience. Free tickets are available here.
