Comedians stand up for Ukraine
Comedy names are coming together to raise money for the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
Both the Comedy Store and Leicester Square Theatre have announced benefit gigs in their London venues in the coming month.
Joe Lycett, Nina Conti, James Acaster and Nish Kumar are among those performing at the Comedy Store on Tuesday in aid of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.
The bill also includes half-Russian, half-Ukranian comedian Dimitri Bakanov and Russian-born Olga Koch in what’s billed as a ‘night of solidarity and fundraising in the face of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine’.
Sindhu Vee, Alistair Barrie and Sarah Keyworth complete the Stand Up For Ukraine line-up so far, but more names are expected to be announced later.
Tickets, priced £27.50, are available here.
Leicester Square Theatre has also announced a benefit for the Red Cross on March 24.
Its line-up boasts James Acaster, Adam Buxton, Nick Helm, Bridget Christie, Darren Harriott, Milton Jones and Sara Pascoe.
