Al Murray announces 2022 tour

70+ dates for Gig For Victory

Al Murray has announced dates for his next tour, before the current one is over.

The comic will be back on the road in his Pub Landlord guise next year with his new show Gig For Victory.

More than 70 dates have been announced, starting at the Tyne Theatre in Newcastle on February 25 and ending in Dublin in November.

Meanwhile, his current tour, Landlord Of Hope And Glory, runs for the rest of this month, winding up at the Swansea Grand on October 21.

The blurb for the new show reads: ‘ As the dust settles and we emerge blinking into the dawn of a new year, the men and women of this great country will need answers.  Answers that they know they need, answers to questions they never knew existed. And when that moment comes, who better to show the way, to provide those answers, than the people’s man of the people, the Pub Landlord?

‘Steeped in the deep and ancient barroom wisdom of countless lock-ins, the Pub Landlord is there to show the way.  Wherever you are, he will - within sensible travel limits and theatre booking policy - come, offering people thirsty for common sense a full pint of the good stuff.

The news comes just before Murray’s new series about Britain’s military past, Why Do The Brits Win Every War? The series, which features guests Henning Wehn,Reginald D Hunter and Sanjeev Kohli, starts on Sky History on Wednesday October 20 at 9pm.

Tickets for the new stand-up show go on general sale at 10am on Friday.
