New series from Mum writer Stefan Golaszewski
Mum writer Stefan Golaszewski has written a new comedy-drama for BBC One, starring Sean Bean and Nicola Walker.
The four-part series, Marriage, is described as an ‘up-close portrait’ of a relationship, ‘sometimes funny, sometimes moving and always revealing’.
Golaszewski – who will also direct the hour-long episodes- said: ‘It's amazing to get to work with Sean and Nicola. They're actors of such depth, truth and warmth and I can't wait to go on this journey with them.’
Unforgotten star Walker added: ‘This is a unique project. Stefan has created such a beautiful, funny and complicated world.’
Filming will begin shortly on the series, which us being produced for programme-makers The Forge by Lyndsay Robinson, who also oversaw Golaszewski’s previous hits, Him And Her, Mum
Piers Wenger, the director of BBC drama commissioning, praised ‘the extraordinary depth and complexity of Stefan’s characters’.
The writer started his career with sketch group Cowards alongside Tim Key, Tom Basden and Lloyd Woolf.
