New tour for Paul Chowdhry
Paul Chowdhry has announced a new 22-date tour, called Family-Friendly Comedian… although the subtitle explains: no children.
The dates follow 2018’s Live Innit, during which he become the first British-Asian stand-up to sell out the 10,000 seater Wembley Arena. That show was released as an Amazon Prime stand-up special in 2019 (review).
Chowdhry said: ‘We’re living in troubled times, so once again I must put my cape on and save humanity. It’ll be family-friendly but not in a Michael Jackson kind of way. See you on tour.’
It kicks off with two nights at the Beck Theatre in Hayes, West London, on October 19 and 20 and finishes at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on December 16.
The comic has also vowed to use a local opening act from each city ‘to support and promote regional comedy.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday.
