Kurupt FM to tour UK
The Kurupt FM crew are set to tour the UK next year.
The cast of People Just Do Nothing are releasing an album this week, and plan to follow up with a string of live dates in early 2022.
Allan 'Seapa' Mustafa, who plays MC Grindah in the BBC sitcom and new film spin-off Big In Japan told Chortle: ‘We're looking to release tickets very soon actually and start touring the first quarter of next year. If the law says we're allowed with everything that's going on.
‘We'll just do the festival circuit and have some fun in character. We love doing it, we love hanging out as friends. It's always a celebration.’
Their debut album, modestly called The Greatest Hits (Part 1) follows the track Summertime which they released with Craig David earlier this year.
The Kurupt crew, which also includes Hugo Chegwin as DJ Beats, Steve Stamp as DJ Steves and Asim Chaudhry as band manager Chabuddy G are also taking part in an Amsterdam weekender for fans this autumn.
Organisers Pollen say the ‘three nights of mayhem’ include coffee shop takeovers, canal parties, night-time raves and more.
The cast spoke to Chortle in two interviews (part one and part two) to promote People Just Do Nothing: Big In Japan, which is released in cinemas on Wednesday.
