Comic to star in Beauty And The Beast in Aberdeen

Janey Godley is to make her panto debut this Christmas.

The stand-up will play Mrs Potty in the production of Beauty And The Beast  at His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen.

Jane Spiers, chief executive of theatre owner Aberdeen Performing Arts, said: ‘With 20 years of award-winning comedy under her belt, Janey is a queen of Scottish comedy. She is sure to bring her trademark sharp wit and cheeky sense of humour to her role.’

She will be appearing alongside Laura Main from Call The Midwife, CBeebies star Danielle Jam and regular panto dame Alan McHugh, who also wrote the script.

The show will run from December 4 to January 2.
