Rosie Jones joins C4's Paralympics team
Rosie Jones is heading to Tokyo to cover the Paralympics for Channel 4.
The comedian will be the on-the-ground reporter for The Last Leg, which will air nightly during the Games.
But presenters Adam Hills, Alex Brooker and Josh Widdicombe will remain in London.
The news came as Channel 4 confirmed its full plans for the Paralympics, which run from from August 24 to September 6
Wheelchair basketball player Ade Adepitan will front the highlights show Today In Tokyo from Japan; Clare Balding will present coverage from Channel 4’s new satellite HQ in Leeds and Arthur Williams and Steph McGovern will head a daily Paralympics Breakfast Show.
Other presenters will include disability advocate Sophie Morgan, former Royal Marine Commando JJ Chalmers, former professional rugby player Ed Jackson, Formula 1 presenter Lee McKenzie and Radio 1’s Vick Hope. And pundits will include Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, Steve Brown, Liam Malone, Danny Crates and Liz Johnson.
Channel 4’s director of programmes Ian Katz said, ‘We’re looking forward to bringing the best coverage possible to the British public so we can all get behind ParalympicsGB and celebrate their success in Tokyo.’
