Nominees announced today

Alan Partridge, James Acaster and French and Saunders are among the nominees in this year’s British Podcast Awards.

The nominees for best comedy podcast are:

  • Beef and Dairy Networ, made by Benjamin Partridge
  • Dear Joan and Jericha, with Julia Davis and Vicki Pepperdine)
  • Hidden Ireland, with Michael Stranney,
  • Kurupt FM
  • Poppy Hillstead Has Entered The Chat
  • SeanceCast, from Charlie Dinkin and Zoe Tomalin

Meanwhile Partridge’s From The Oasthouse and French & Saunders: Titting About are shortlisted for the Spotlight Award, alongside  Elis James and John Robins’ The Isolation Tapes.

Grounded With Louis Theroux, Happy Mum Happy Baby, The Yungblud Podcast complete that shortlist.

James Acaster's Perfect Sounds has been nominated for the creativity award as well as the best entertainment podcast.

And Radio 4’s topical soundscape show The Skewer, produced by Jon Holmes, is up for best radio podcast, just days after winning the gold comedy award at the Audio & Radio Industry Awards 2021.

Winners will be announced at an outdoor ceremony on Saturday July 10 at Brockwell Park, South London.
