Filming starts on Starstruck series 2
Filming has started on a second series of Starstruck, creator Rose Matafeo has confirmed.
The comedian, who also stars in the romcom that she writes with Alice Snedden, announced that filming had started via a tweet from the set.
Posting an image of herself recreating the poster from Abba musical Mamma Mia, she said: ‘Thank you for your truly lovely words about Starstruck so far. I'm sorry if I haven't replied, but we started shooting something else this week…’

The show, which is airing on BBC One on Monday nights, revolves around her character Jessie having an on-off relationship with movie A-lister Tom, played by Nikesh Patel.
It was broadly welcomed by critics. In a five-star review the London Evening Standard said ‘Matafeo has created a freewheeling, feminist comedy that is sunny, smart, silly and relatable… and it should make her into a star’; Chortle’s four-star write-up called it ‘a show that’s warm, optimistic and romantic - with more than enough nuance and honesty to ever risking being cloyingly so’; while a more guarded three-starrer in The Guardian commented that the ‘consistently above-average, if never quite sparkling, script makes even the post-coital banter and flirtatious, conversational scenes work’
Co-stars in the show - which will also air on HBO Max in the US - include Matafeo’s real-life flat mate Emma Sidi, Alastair Roberts, Sindhu Vee, Jon Pointing and Joe Barnes.
It’s believed that six new episodes have been commissioned.
