Ahir Shah finally gets to shoot his HBO special

Delayed recording takes place in London in June

Ahir Shah will finally get to record his HBO Max stand-up comedy special Dots in a West End theatre this summer.

The double Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee had been due to tape the show last March, four months after his deal with the US streaming services was announced. But then Covid struck.

Now he has announced a new recording date for the show, Dots: Sunday June 6 at the Vauderville Theatre.

It will be taped over two performances - at 5pm and 8.30pm.

Producers Avalon say of the show, which debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2019: ‘Featuring Shah’s signature blend of philosophical inquiry, personal examination, and sweet gags, Dots is his critically acclaimed stand-up show about the necessity, utility, and absence of certainty.’

Tickets are on sale now, priced £12, from Nimax Theatres.
