'Phantasmagorical' Bill avoids Steps dance-off

Viewers forgive Bailey's missteps

Bill Bailey dodged  the Strictly dance-off this weej after coming fourth out of the six remaining dancers tonight.

Head judge Shirley Ballas noted that the comedian lost his balance at the end of the Argentine Tango he and dance partner Oti Mabuse performed  to Phantom of the Opera

But Oti's sister Motsi loved the comedian's posture and timing.

Craig Revel Horwood though there was a sticky moment but Bill had 'complete control' and it was 'phantasmagorical'.

Nonetheless, their eight points all round placed them only mid-table in this Musicals Week, and they were left at the mercy of the viewing public. However, they secured enough votes to avoid the dance-off on Sunday night's show.

One Twitter user explained his appeal: 'Bill Bailey is 55. Bill Bailey was supposed to be this year's comedy dad dancer. Bill Bailey has become the antidote to the hideous year that has been 2020'
