THE HORNE SECTION PODCAST: The six-headed comedy band have returned with a new, fifth, series of their hit podcast with new episodes every Wednesday morning. Reggie Watts guests in the first one, which was released this week, alongside band leader Alex Horne abnd Joe Auckland (trumpet and banjo), Mark Brown (saxophone and guitar), Will Collier (bass), Ben Reynolds (drums and percussion) and Ed Sheldrake (keyboards). Available in all the usual places, including Acast.
SPORTS VIRGINS: In this new podcast comedian Matt Richardson and radio DJ Amy Voce give their perspective on that week's sport news - even though they know nothing about the activities in the headlines. It is designed to help open up the world of competitive sports, particularly for those with zero sporting knowledge alike. Dylan Pugh, founder of production company Pomodo and a former rugby player, will also join the show as the resident sports expert. He said: 'Sports podcasts represent a large proportion of the industry and they tend to cater for die-hard sports fans. We wanted to create a podcast that took a more light-hearted and inclusive view on the world of sports, offering a gateway for those who want to brush up on their knowledge, or just join us for a laugh.' Sports Virgins launched this week, with new episodes released each Wednesday.
