Ari Eldjárn show drops next month

Netflix has announced that its first ever comedy special by an Icelandic comedian will be released on December 2.

Ari Eldjárn recorded Pardon My Icelandic - in English – at the National Theatre of Iceland in Reykjavík in 2019.

The show explores Scandinavian stereotypes and offers insights into fatherhood, working as a flight attendant and living in a country with a population the size of Coventry.

Eldjárn performed this show at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2017 - read our review here - and this  version was directed by August Jakobsson and produced by Made in Iceland Films.

Eldjárn first performed stand-up in 2009 and in the UK he has appeared on Mock The Week and various radio shows.
