Virtual gigs for Dear Joan and Jericha duo
Julia Davis and Vicki Pepperdine are to perform live as their Dear Joan and Jericha alter-egos for the first time.
The pair will be doing ‘a handful of events’ as podcast agony aunts Joan Damry and Jericha Domain to coincide with the publication of their first book.
In a statement in character, the duo said: ‘We are thrilled that our adoring public will finally see us in the flesh. We get so many requests for naked selfies and signed photos as our listeners strive to picture how we look – we trust that they won’t be disappointed.’
The first gig to be announced is a streamed event from the London Coliseum on October 27. Tickets, priced from £10, are available here.
Why He Turns Away: Do’s and Don’ts, from Dating to Death, described as ‘ a bible of sex and relationship advice on how to find, satisfy and maintain a husband, from dating right up until you or hubby pass away’ will be published by Orion on October 29. Order here.
• Meanwhile, the previously announced Unmute podcast festival – which runs from October 20 to 24 – has added a second raft of shows to its line-up, including The Froth with Rhod Gilbert, Sian Harries & Friends, Black Gals Livin’ and The Bugle. Tickets are on sale here.
