Julian Barratt and Sam Campbell join Sky's Bloods
Julian Barratt and Australian comedian Sam Campbell have joined the cast of Sky’s new paramedic sitcom Bloods.
Filming has just started on the series, which stars Samson Kayo and Jane Horrocks as an ambulance crew in South London.
Both Boosh star Barratt and Campbell, below, who won the top award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2018, will play paramedics.
Six half-hour episodes are being made for broadcast next year, following a taster episode made as a Sky comedy short in 2018.
Other cast members also announced today are Adrian Scarborough, Kevin Garry, and Aasiya Shah.
Kayo - who co-created the series – said: ‘I’m super excited to show the world Bloods especially because I almost became a paramedic. Lucky for the NHS, I chose to play the character instead’
And Horrocks added: ‘I am very much looking forward to working on Bloods and being paired with the extremely funny Samson Kayo. I know nothing of the world of paramedics, but maybe I need to overcome my fear of blood before I start.’
