Fox buys acclaimed Australian hitman comedy-drama

Australian comedy series Mr Inbetween is coming to the UK.

The darkly humorous crime series stars Scott Ryan as a hitman for hire who has to balance his criminal activities with his obligations to  his daughter, his sick brother  and his friends.

Fox UK has bought the rights to both seasons of the show, comprising 17 episodes which will launch here on October 29.

Based  on Ryan's 2005 feature film, Mr Inbetween launched on Australia’s premium Showcase channel in 2018 and was recently renewed for a third season down under.

It has been praised by critics – boasting a 90 per cent favourable score on aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes - and was dubbed one of the best shows of 2008 by both The Hollywood Reporter and The New York Times after being aired by FX in America.
