We'll Meet The Richardsons again
Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont are to make a second series of Meet The Richardsons, the mockumentary about their married life in Yorkshire.
The Dave channel has commissioned eight 40-minute episodes to air next year, plus two Christmas specials to be broadcast at the end of this year.
The second series will cover the clash of the couple's careers and personal lives and how they have been dealing with life after lockdown - as well as telling how Lucy’s mum Gill spotted some spooky goings-on in The Dog and Bastard, the pub Richardson set up in his garden.
Beaumont, who writes the show with Car Share’s Tim Reid said: ‘So glad to be getting paid to have an argument again.
‘Lockdown has been weird living with someone who has spent his life practising social distancing and frequent handwashing - if the government advise wearing beige cardigans and being a tedious grump I know something has been going on.’

Richardson added: ‘It’s great news that there will be a second series of Meet the Richardsons. I can’t wait to give away the few private moments of my life that aren’t already in the public domain and welcome the crew back to The D&B with open arms. It was getting boring drinking alone in there anyway. . Really. Fantastic stuff.’
Series one aired earlier this year, with the opening episode attracting 830,000 viewers in the first seven days, making it the strongest launch of a new original series on Dave in more five years It is still available on demand via UKTV Play.
Iain Coyle from broadcaster UKTV said: ‘I’m so delighted with this commission. With his own pub in his back garden and his general reticence to socialise, there are very few people more prepared for a pandemic than Jon Richardson and I’m sure 2020 has put zero strain on his and Lucy’s marriage.’
