Michael Palin joins The Simpsons
Michael Palin is to appear on The Simpsons.
The Python star has been named as one of the guests on the upcoming 32nd season of the animated TV series, alongside Olivia Colman and comedian Hannibal Buress.
What roles they will play are largely under wraps, but Colman will be a femme fatale.
Revealing the names at this year’s virtual San Diego Comic-Con Simpsons producer and writer Matt Selman said: ‘Sir Michael Palin from Monty Python will be appearing on The Simpsons, which is pretty exciting for me. I love them all, sorry everyone else, I think he’s my favourite.’
Others taking part include musician and actor Ben Plat, from Netflix’s The Politician, and David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper in Stranger Things. He will play an alternate version of Mr Burns in The Simpsons.
The show returns to Fox in the US on September 27 and will be on Sky One in the UK shortly afterwards.
