Comic taking some time off his US talk show

James Corden is taking time off from his US talk show after undergoing eye surgery.

The 41-year-old  comic, who has been fronting his nightly Late Late Show from home, said he was ‘doing well’ after the operation.

Writing on Twitter, he said: ‘Hey all. I had to have minor surgery on my eye yesterday.

‘I am doing well and recovering, but won’t be able to film new episodes for a few nights. Thank you to everyone who has been watching the Late Late Shows from my garage.

‘I’ll be back soon. Stay safe and well everybody. x’

The Late Late Show with James Corden airs on Sky Comedy in the UK.
