Comedy Central orders lockdown shorts

...but it's not saying who's taking part

Comedy Central has ordered a series of social media shorts from comedians stuck in lockdown.

Ten comics will each film three clips for the Comedians In Quarantine series, which will be launched from this Saturday.

According to the broadcaster, the clips will feature ‘tips on coping in confinement’ as well as ‘cabin fever stand-up’ from their homes

The clips will be screened on Comedy Central International’s Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts.

However, the broadcaster has declined to say who is taking part, officially namechecking only its producers Emerald Paston and Nima Shahmalekpur, executive producer Rebecca Hewett and commissioner Kerry Taylor.

Meanwhile, sister company MTV has ordered a comedy clip show fronted by former Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby featuring funny internet clips filmed during social distancing.

With the working title Lockdown Laughs with Charlotte Crosby, six 22-minute episodes have been ordered.
