Daniel Sloss is writing his first book
Everyone You Hate Is Going To Die aims to pick up the themes of his Netflix special Jigsaw – which he claims has led to 50,000 break-ups because of the questions it asks about relationships.
According to the blurb from publishers Knopf, the new book ‘goes after every conceivable kind of relationship’ including with lovers, ex-lovers, parents, best friends, siblings and even your country.
‘Every relationship gets the full, inimitable Sloss treatment as he explains why each one is fragile and ridiculous and awful,’ they add. ‘But, just maybe, also valuable and meaningful. In any case, one way or the other, under his pen, they are all hilarious.’
Sloss’s latest stand-up show, X, has just been shown in UK cinemas, where it grossed £4,758 at the box office, and his next one, Hubris, debuts at the Edinburgh Fringe before a UK tour. Dates
His first book, subtitled ‘...And Other Comforting Thoughts on Family, Friends, Sex, Love, and More Things That Ruin Your Life’ will be published on November 3.
