West End theatre adds stand-up shows

London’s Ambassadors Theatre is to host a new series of late-night stand-up shows.

The West End gigs will take place at 9.30pm, after the previously announced runs of Richard Gadd’s acclaimed one-man show Baby Reindeer, and The Shark Is Broken, about the making of Jaws.

It starts on April 23 with a line-up that includes Gadd and Bridget Christie

Suzi Ruffell, Fern Brady, Jamali Maddix, Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Ed Gamble and Jen Brister are lined up for future performances.

There will also be standalone shows from Lloyd Griffith, Kieran Hodgson, Frisky & Mannish, Diane Chorley and drag queen Crystal Rasmussen, plus The Cocoa Butter Club showcase of queer performers of colour

The line-ups are being staged West End producer Sonia Friedman, who said: ‘In these uncertain times, we all need more opportunities to laugh, to be dazzled and to be entertained…. these late-night shows are the exact escape we’ve all been looking for.’.

The full schedule is here.
