Baywatch star heads to the West End

David Hasselhoff is joining the cast of West End comedy musical 9 To 5.

The Baywatch and  Knight Rider star will play the villainous boss Franklin Hart Jr in the show inspired by the 1980 movie.

He said: ’I went to see the show back in June and I thought it was Hofftastic’  That’s when I knew I wanted to be part of it. Franklin Hart Jr is going to be a fun part for me to play and I’m looking forward to being back on stage in the UK.’

Hasselhoff will be in the play at The Savoy Theatre from December 2 until February 28. Tickets are available here.

The cast also includes  Caroline Sheen, Chelsea Halfpenny, Natalie McQueen and Bonnie Langford.

The original movie satire starred Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Dolly Parton, who had a hit with the theme tune.
