Shortlisted for Amazon award

Comedian turned author Caimh McDonnell has been shortlisted for a £20,000 book prize.

His thriller I Have Sinned has made the final five in Amazon’s UK Kindle Storyteller Award for independently-published authors.

The story revolves an Irishman who head to New York on the tail of a woman he loves – and in his quest to find her encounters a rogue order of nuns and a priest who is himself being hunted by assassins because of some mysterious incident in his past.

Also up for the award, are The Bookshop Of Hopes And Dreams by Hannah Ellis, The Army Of Wolves by Claire Moore, Tragedy At Piddleton Hotel by Emily Organ and The Picture On The Fridge by Ian W Sainsbury.

The winner will be announced by at a ceremony in London in October.

As well as the cash prize, there’s a marketing campaign to support the book on Amazon and the opportunity to have their book translated.  Plus one finalist from the six Kindle literary awards around the world will get a development option to possibly have their work adapted into an Amazon Prime production. be evaluated by experts from Amazon International Originals. 

McDonnell became an author with the crime thriller A Man with One Of Those Faces in 2016, which became the first of a trilogy.
