LONDON: The London Podcast Festival continues at Kings Place all week. BRISTOL: Catastrophe star and co-creator Rob Delaney appears at the Tobacco Factory Theatre for a run-through of his Amazon Prime special, which will be filmed at London's Hackney Empire later this month.

Tuesday September 10

SHEFFIELD: At the City Hall, the Would I Lie To You? trio of Rob Brydon, Lee Mack and David Mitchell kick off a combined tour, described as 'an evening of chat, comedy and general messing around. Dates.

LONDON: Harry Hill in the intimate hold of a historic clipper? What's not to love? The big-collared loon comes to the Cutty Sark in Greenwich for one of his occasional Experiments in Entertainment shows. Tickets.

Wednesday September 11

SOUTHEND: Somehow, between all his TV appearances, Romesh Ranganathan has managed to find the time to do a stand-up tour – The Cynic's Mixtape, which kicks off at the Southend Cliffs Pavilion tonight. It's described as his most brutally honest show yet, and a selection of all the things he has found unacceptable since the last tour, including why trying to save the environment is a scam, why none of us are truly free, and his suspicion that his wife is using his gluten intolerance to avoid sleeping with him. TEWKSEBURY: Meanwhile, Jack Dee makes sly reference to the fact his ITV sitcom Bad Move has been axed in the title of his new tour, Off The Telly, which kicks off at the Roses Theatre today. It runs throughout the autumn, with another spring leg recently added. Dates

DUBLIN: Frank Skinner kicks off his Showbiz tour in Vicar Street. Aside from some unscripted nights at the Soho Theatre, this is the comic and Absolute Radio presenter's first stand-up tour since Man In A Suit in 2014. Dates.

STRATFORD-UPON-AVON: The Royal Shakespeare Company hosts a comedy festival in association with Underbelly, with 22 acts over six gigs, kicking off tonight with an impressive bill comprising Bridget Christie, Carl Donnelly, Ed Gamble, Fin Taylor and Sarah Keyworth. Listings.

EDINBURGH: Frankie Boyle will spreading his usual sweetness and light at the Festival Theatre tonight and tomorrow.

Friday September 13

LONDON: There's a fabulous, comically diverse bill at Hackney's EartH venue tonight with politically incisive Andrew Maxwell, struggling-to-be-an-adult Iain Stirling, provocative Reginald D Hunter, and mischief-maker Rosie Jones.
