Deal announced as her fifth book is launched

Jenny Eclair has signed a deal for two move novels.

Publisher Sphere announced the news just before the release of her latest book, Inheritance, on August 1.

Catherine Burke, deputy managing director of parent company Little, Brown Book Group told trade website The Bookseller: 'Eclair is one of the most brilliant novelists writing today. Her books are insightful, beautifully observed, compelling and so very moving, we’re thrilled to be publishing more novels together.’

Inheritance, ‘a tale of Family Secrets across the generations’ will be her fifth novel. According to The Bookseller her books have sold a total of168,000 copies in the UK, netting £1.28million.

Publication dates for the next two novels – currently untitled – are yet to be announced.
