ITV2 renews The Stand Up Sketch Show

Second series coming next year

ITV2 has ordered a second series of The Stand Up Sketch Show, to air next year.

Six new half-hour episodes have been commissioned of the format, which features stand-up routines that are simultaneously acted out as sketches.

Comedians in the first series included Joel Dommett, Felicity Ward, Dane Baptiste, Tom Allen and Seann Walsh – though there is no word yet as to who will be taking part in the second run.

Saskia Schuster, ITV’s comedy controller said: ‘The Stand Up Sketch Show quickly established itself as a fast paced format that delivered the laughs from well known and up and coming comedy talent.'

Here is our review of the opening episode of series one, which in aired January.
