More Brits join Montreal's Just For Laughs

Major showcase for the North American industry

More UK performers have joined Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival –where they will be showcased in front of the North American industry as well as countless dedicated comedy fans.

Taking part in the annual Brit(ish) show are Jamali Maddix (pictured), Mawaan Rizwan, Fin Taylor and Flo & Joan.

They join the previously announced host Jimmy Carr and special guest Sarah Millican for the gigs on July 26 and  27.

Meanwhile, Mark Watson and Nish Kumar will be presenting their solo shows as part of the ‘Off-JFL’ strand of Edinburgh-style performances.

Also in that part of the programming are the likes of Ron Funches, Pete Correale, Kurt Braunohler,  Cameron Esposito and Beth Stelling. 

It has also been announced that Stuart Goldsmith will also be in town to record his The Comedians’ Comedian podcast,  along with a host of other podcasters 

The festival – known as a magnet for the American TV and comedy industry – has also just revealed that Wanda Sykes will be presenting a televised gala.

And other newly unveiled shows will be performed by Ronny Chieng, Fred Armisen, Nick Kroll, Jackass star Steve-O and ‘roastmaster’  Jeff Ross.

As previously announced, Michael McIntyre will be performing his Big World Tour at the festival; Trevor Noah will be performing at the 20,000-capacity Bell Centre; Jim Jefferies will host two galas; and American-based Brit Gina Yashere will be on the line-up of The Ethnic Show
