Dave Chappelle announces two London dates
Dave Chappelle is to return to the UK next month, with two London gigs.
The comic has today announced that he will play the Adelphi Theatre on June 2 and Hackney Empire the following night.
They are his first British dates since his run at the iconic Royal Albert Hall last year with Jon Stewart – and fabs will have to be quick as tickets for his gigs often sell out within minutes of their announcements.
His promoters say that he has performed more than 1,600 gigs worldwide in the past four years – which would average more than one a day.
In 2017, he released four specials on Netflix, with their subsequent audio releases winning him the Grammys for best comedy Album in 2018 and 2019. And earlier this month it was announced that he would be receiving this year's Mark Twain Award for American Humor, following in the footsteps of Richard Pryor, Steve Martin and George Carlin.
Tickets for the London dates go on sale at 10am on Monday.
