A chat show with a twist

ITV2 has given Keith Lemon another show.

Shopping With Keith Lemon is a chat show – but taking place on shopping trips rather than on a sofa.

Guests will include Spice Girl Mel B on her weekly food shop, pop stars Busted on the hunt for a new guitar, and Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, who heads to France on a booze cruise.

Others are Fearne Cotton will re-unite with Keith for the first time since leaving Celebrity Juice, Caroline Flack, comedian Rob Beckett, Emily Atack and David Dickinson.

Lemon – the alter-ego of Leigh Francis – says: ‘I’m a shopper-holic that likes gossiping! What better way to spend my day than shopping and gossiping with famous people? Perfect job for me!’

Eight half-hour episodes have been ordered from production company Talkback,  and will launch next month.

Jonno Richards, Talkback’s acting managing director, said: ‘Keith Lemon has a uniquely brilliant interview style, and in Shopping we get classic Keith moments alongside juicy and revealing interviews, all the while shopping for cars, crisps, and much more besides.’

Saskia Schuster, ITV’s controller of comedy, added: ‘Would you spill all your secrets to Keith Lemon whilst doing your shopping? ITV2 viewers are about to find out.’

Lemon has made 253 episode of Celebrity Juice for ITV2 since 2008  as well as Keith Lemon: Coming in America last year, two series of both The Keith Lemon Sketch Show and Lemon La Vida Loca for the channel plus  Through the Keyhole, The Keith & Paddy Picture Show and LemonAid, for the main ITV network.
