Daniel Kitson, breakfast DJ
Daniel Kitson has returned to radio presenting.
The comic is hosting the 7am to 9am breakfast slot on the London-based community arts station Resonance FM, starting today.
He will be on air Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and told subscribers to his newsletter: 'I'm either doing three or four weeks worth - I can't remember right now.'
The station is on 102.2FM in the capital, and also online globally. However, Kitson's shows will not be repeated nor be made available on catch-up.
Resonance FM's website had crashed just after 9am this morning because too many users were trying to access it – perhaps reflecting the comedian's popularity.
Kitson took the same slot last year, and said that it was 'a lot of fun', In one show, he said nothing at all except 'goodbye' after two hours of music.
And he broadcast on the station in 2016, under the name Captain Bang Bang's Magic Castle – but missed one show because he couldn't get into the studio, with a 'dodgy security gate' taking the blame.
Resonance FM has previously been home to Stewart Lee’s alter-ego Baconface, Lewis Schaffer and Simon Munnery.
