New series for ITV

John Bishop is to embark on a road trip around Ireland for a new ITV series.

The comedian will visit historic sites and learn Irish customs In Between performing stand-up gigs in pubs and arenas.

His travels will be broadcast across four 30-minute episodes, entitled Bishop’s Ireland.

The 52-year-old comic said: ‘Ireland holds a very special place in my heart and always has done, even before I started stand-up comedy.

‘So to have the opportunity to travel around, meet local people, make them laugh and experience new things along the way has been a total joy.’

The series is being made by Bishop’s production company Lola Entertainment, with as Twofour and Moondog Productions.
