Mystery On The Rocks

This new podcast mixes two popular genres - true crime mysteries and comedy. And it's given an extra twist as it's set within an old saloon, where the lively conversations of an old detective (played by Chris Stokes, pictured), a bartender (Masud Milas) and a down-on-her-luck saloon singer (Sooz Kempner) continue deep into the night.

Each episode features a different guest who discusses real-life, and very bizarre, unsolved riddles, including the murder of Laetitia Toureaux in an empty carriage on the Paris metro, and Keith Reinhard who disappeared in the Rocky Mountains in 'spooky' circumstances.

In episode one Nick Helm discusses what happened in room 1046 of the Hotel President in Kansas City on January 2, 1935, when a man was found dead in very peculiar circumstances.

Two more episodes with Jay Foreman and Kemah Bob are available on Spotify now, with more to come.

Savage With Ross & Granny

Ross Smith and his 92-year-old grandmother are already social media superstars, with 19 million follows to their name.

Now they have launched a new series, Savage, in which they improvise some scenaios, with episode one – which was released this week – focussing on the pair trying to throw a lit party.

British Sitcom: 60 Years Of Laughing At Ourselves 

This 2016 BBC documentary is back on iPlayer, celebrating classic British sitcoms and taking a look at the social and political context from they grew

The hour long show is narrated by Rebecca Front and features the likes of Steve Coogan, Richard Curtis, Beryl Vertue, James Corden, Jack Dee and the writing team of Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais.

Now That's Funny

This 2005 documentary on what it takes to be a stand-up comedian in America is now available on Amazon Prime.

It features appearances from the likes of Tom Green, Andy Dick, Sarah Silverman, Rich Little, Paul Rodriguez and the Smothers Brothers – but be warned it only has 29 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Maisie Adam: Vague

Nominated for the Edinburgh best newcomer award last August, Adam's show about dealing with her epilepsy has just been added to the subscription comedy on demand service NextUp.
