On the chain gang
Greg McHugh and Richard Gadd are to star in a new BBC sitcom about an offbeat cycling group.
They are among the cast of Saddled, which starts on BBC Radio Scotland next month.
Fresh Meat star McHugh plays Mark, who hates sport, but his wife Dawn, played by stage actor Lucianne McEvoy, is a new covert to cycling so he reluctantly joins her group. Gadd plays one of the slower members, Brennan.
The series has been written by comic Steven Dick and Chris Grady, who was script editor on Gary Tank Commander
The cast also includes Sally Reid, who played PC Sarah Fletcher in Scot Squad, Burnistoun actor Richard Rankin and Robin Laing, who played DI Donald in River City.
The four-part series launches at 1.30pm on April 1 on BBC Radio Scotland.
