Jack Docherty reveals BBC spin-off

Scot Squad’s police chief Cameron Miekelson is getting his own spin-off show.

Star Jack Docherty has revealed that his hapless character is to make a series of travelogues for the BBC iPlayer.

In an interview with The Sun, the comic said: ‘It’s a cross between Palin’s travel shows and Portillo’s Great Railway Journeys — although Miekelson hasn’t got any further than Edinburgh so far.’

DCs Megan Squire (Julie Wilson Nimmo) and Andrea McGill (Louise Mccarthy) will also feature in the shows, written by Scot Squad creator Joe Hullait.

Docherty was speaking to promote his forthcoming Glasgow Comedy Festival show.
