Get the goss
This week's comedy on demand.
Gossipmongers
In this new podcast David Earl (aka Brian Gittins), Joe Wilkinson and Poppy Hillstead read out unsubstantiated rumours sent in by listeners. At the end of each episode they choose their favourite piece of gossip and help spread it further by getting Poppy to shout it out the window. Luke McQueen is the guest on episode one. Listen on Acast.
Insane in the Men Brain Podcast
Top marks for the title of this new podcast in which comic Rich Wilson talks to his funny mates about their experiences with men's mental health. Cariad Lloyd showed this blend of freewheeling chat and serious undertow can work so well in Griefcast, and this is in a similar vein. Phil Elis, Tez Ilyas and Samantha Baines have guested so far. Listen on iTunes, Spotify or Acast.
Tourist Trap
This BBC Wales comedy returned for a one-off special to mark the Six Nations last night, and is now available over the rest of the country on iPlayer. Sally Phillips plays the chief executive of tourist board Wow Wales, who has has been given a corporate hospitality box at the Principality Stadium, despite knowing nothing about rugby.
American: The Bill Hicks Story
To mark 25 years since the comedian's death this 2009 documentary has been put online for free. A mix of archives and interviews, it used cut-and-paste animation to add movement to the many still pictures it used from the vaults. Watch here.
The Awkward Comedy Show
Vintage stand-up from Hannibal Buress, Eric Andre and more in this 2010 compilation featuring African-American comics united by their neediness. New on Amazon Prime here.
