BRISTOL: A little after the rest of the Slapstick festival comes its annual gala, with Marcus Brigstocke introducing a screening of Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times, plus some classic shorts, accompanied by a full orchestra. At the Hippodrome.

LONDON: Sundays are usually the best nights at Up The Creek in Greenwich, and tonight is no exception with Phil Wang and Edinburgh Comedy Award winner John Robins.

Monday February 11

LEICESTER: The city's comedy festival continues all week. Two very different highlights tonight: the UK Pun Championship at the De Montfort Hall hosted by Jason Byrne, and Alfie Brown's more soul-searching offering about being a flawed human being, Lunatic, at the Cookie.

LONDON: Tom Neenan kicks off a three-night run of It's Always Infinity, his fantastical and witty storytelling show with a twist, at the Battersea Arts Centre. Review

Tuesday February 12

LONDON: It's the one that got away from last year's Edinburgh Comedy Award. Garrett Millerick's Sunflowers is 40 minutes of blistering, straightfoward stand-up followed by an emotional sucker-punch carrying the last third. Londoners can now catch it at the Soho Theatre, where it plays until Saturday.

Wednesday February 13

LONDON: Incredibly there are still a few tickets left for the 100 Hearts benefit at the London Palladium at the time of writing. An all-star bill includes Clive Anderson, Dara O Briain,Greg Davies, Harry Enfield, James Acaster,Omid Djalili amd Rob Brydon - all raising £££s for the Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals. Tickets

Saturday February 16

LONDON: Another banger from producers Plosive Comedy at The MCT at Alleyn's School in Dulwich features the unique talents of John Kearns, Tim Key and John Robins - three Edinburgh Comedy Award winners right there - and much-tipped up-and-comer Catherine Bohart.

LONDON: Luisa Omielan hosts her annual Valentine's party at the Forum, Kentish Town. Good times!
