'Biggest ever' tour for Russell Howard
Russell Howard is to announce his third world tour, heralding it as his biggest yet.
Kicking off next year, his Respite tour will cover at least 24 countries and 51 cities - and, like his last show, will be performed in the round where possible.
They include two nights at London’s Wembley Arena plus engagements in Mumbai, Dehli, Cape Town, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpa, Singapore, Copenhagen, Berlin, Helsinki, Amsterdam, New York, San Francisco, Portland, Los Angeles, Montreal, Toronto, Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland.
And after breaking the record for the biggest ever stand-up show in China on his last tour, Round The World, he returns to play Shanghai and Beijing in 2020.
However, the exact schedule for Respite has not yet been released.
The last show also included ten sold-out nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall, breaking the venue’s record previously held by Frank Sinatra and Barry Manilow for eight shows in a row. The tour was also taped and released as a Netflix special entitled Recalibrate.
The news comes before his Sky One series The Russell Howard Hour returns to Sky1 next Thursday. Tickets will go on sale at 10am that day.
