GALWAY: The Vodafone Comedy Carnival continues today and tomorrow. The 7pm show at the Spiegeltent tonight is a special treat with Milton Jones, Simon Evans and more, especially given that the Sean Lock-headlined show at the Black Box is sold out. And for night owls, the 11pm show at Roisin Dubh features Reginald D Hunter, Karl Spain, Lost Voice Guy, TanyaLee Davis and Tom Rhodes. LONDON: One of the best comics of his generation, James Acaster hits the West End, with a six-night run of his new show Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999 at the Vaudeville Theatre, ahead of a nationwide tour next year.
LONDON: There’s a double bill of visiting American comics at the Soho Theatre this week. At 7.30pm it’s Ali Siddiq, who started performing comedy during the six years he spent in a US jail for trafficking cocaine. And at 9.30pm it’s YouTube star Chris Fleming, the man behind the online comedy series Gayle in which he plays a hyper-competitive woman fumbling her way up the suburban ladder.
MANCHESTER: It’s the final of the Frog & Bucket’s annual Beat The Frog ‘world series’ competition, with the best of the newbies who have defeated the gong in recent months vying for bragging rights. Sian Davies, Mamoun Elagab, James Heath, Chloe Levi Joyce, Michael Mannion, Victor Patrascan Ben Silver, Anna Spark and Louise Young are all competing
